UNC-online courses

In our days unc courses online are preferred by many students. You should check with your academic advisor or dean to ensure that courses online are appropriate and fit into your plan of study in case you are a UNC-Chapel Hill student. No signature is required to register, however. You will need the signature of your dean or academic advisor giving you approval to enroll in case you are academically ineligible or not currently attending. If you are a student in General College or the College of Arts and Sciences and enroll for the first time after July 1, 2008, you have to read the Arts and Sciences Policy on taking these courses. Check with your dean or advisor before registering to make sure the course credits will be accepted, in case you are enrolled at another college or university and hope to transfer the credit from one or more CCO courses back to your school. You do not need to apply for admission to UNC-Chapel Hill. You can enroll in unc courses online as long as prerequisites are met and you have a written recommendation from your guidance counselor if you are a high school senior or rising senior. Contact the office for more information on documentation you will need to provide in case you are a home-schooled or charter school student. When you enroll in such types of courses you receive information on how to access the course website through the Sakai Learning Management System. The courses are equivalent to those taught on campus and you can expect to spend at least as much time on an online course as you would in a traditional setting. You should anticipate as a rule 2 or 3 hours of work each week for every credit hour the course is worth.
